Moffat lift the OEA Golf Trophy!

Monday, 20 June, 2016 -- Helen Wilson

On Friday 17 June, as the rest of South East England was submerging under flash floods, 28 OEs and some of their former teachers gathered at Sundridge Park Golf Club for the seventh annual OE Golf Day. Despite the circling storms, we got away with only an occasional light shower and finished in lovely sunshine. After the morning 9 holes on the East course, the committee amended one or two of the more imaginative handicaps before the afternoon House Competition on the West course. This was closely fought with the result not decided until the last 4 ball, Moffat winning for the first time.

The results for the day are below;

House Competition Winners: Moffat
Stableford 1st Place: Krish Shanmuganathan
Stableford 2nd Place: Oliver Smith
Nearest the Pin: Mark Murrell
Longest Drive: Richard Garnett
Golfer with Most Room for Improvement: Mark Lyons

Thank you very much to SPGC for their hospitality, we will be doing it all again next year on Friday 17 June. Please reserve the date in your diary, all handicaps are welcome.
