Languages – A Passport to the World!

Tuesday, 31 January, 2017 -- Helen Wilson

Former Head of German and current Eltham College Archivist Mark Stickings, is often in Paris and met up twice with OE Jeremy Thurbin (1989) recently to go to Rugby internationals at the Stade de France.

Jeremy studied French and German at Oxford and in 1997 moved to France where he is a partner at EY.  He not only speaks the language fluently but has the full French auditor qualifications, so his work takes him around the world most months of the year.  Married to a French teacher of English, Jeremy is also a governor of the British School in Paris and his two bilingual children also study in France.

Just shows what you can do with languages!
