We were particularly pleased to welcome back Russell Dellar (1987) in November for the ceremony officially appointing Oliver Deal and Harry Ridge as Head Boy and Deputy Head Boy of the Junior School, the first to hold such posts for over 30 years. Russell was one of the last Head Boys in 1979-80, shortly before the post was abolished, and he explained to the Junior School boys what it had meant to him to be Head Boy. He gave the boys some amusing anecdotes about his time in the Junior School all those years ago, pointing out that many things have changed in the past 35 years but some haven't! He saw the Junior School as a team, and stressed that every team needs a good captain, so he was delighted that the post of Head Boy was being reinstated. Many thanks to Russell for attending the Junior School assembly to make the awards.
