Golf Day 2018

Wednesday, 13 June, 2018 -- Simon McGrahan

The good weather was ordered, and duly obliged, it must have been school exam week we had to thank. After an early start, sustained by bacon rolls and coffee, those needing a practice playing 11 holes on the West Course were joined by the rest of the players for lunch on the very impressive new terrace at Sundridge Park. The handicap committee adjusted some of the more imaginative handicaps, then after some of the morning players bought more balls from the pro-shop, 24 OEs played the East Course in the afternoon for personal glory and the House Competition. It was good to see Phil Wood (77) who has missed the last few years and Daniel McCarthy (92) for the first time. Andy De Vaux (87) was Moffat's only representative and he had to leave after the morning round as he was on jury service.
