If you’d have told me three years ago that I would be getting married in my Old Elthamians tracksuit bottoms, that I’d be on the BBC and that Ex-Arsenal and Scotland Goalkeeper Bob Wilson would throw a party in my honour, then I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

I read with interest Richard Ash’s article in lthe 2016 summer edition of Plane Talking.  My name in print, what an honour!  Anyway it prompted me to put pen to paper (metaphorically) to give some of my recollections.

The Old Quad certainly was a favourite place for quad soccer.  I can remember going to the “san” to have grit picked out of the palms of my hands after being tripped up. Quad soccer was the only game I really mastered although I did wicket for the 2nd XI.
